The American Constitution system is based on checks and balances and fundamentally on the idea of compromise for the common good. This system has functioned well with bipartisan compromise since the Civil War. However, this is no longer the case! For the first time ever, in 2011, Standard & Poor’s downgraded the US credit rating, “the sign of political gridlock was the key determinate in our outlook change…” – S&P

With the current shift toward short term objectives, like media popularity, appeasing special interests and lobbyists, and reelection, instead of compromise for the good of the country now and in the future, we are facing an unprecedented level of government dysfunction.

We Act 4 RESPONSIBILITY in government via promotion of BIPARTISANSHIP. Let’s keep our elected officials focused on a LONG TERM OUTLOOK for the good of the United States of America.
